Derby City Sport Forums AGM will take place on Wednesday 13th November, 6 – 7:30pm at Moorways Sports Village, Moor Ln, Derby DE24 9HY. The agenda for the AGM is as follows:

- Minutes from last year’s AGM and matters arising
- Committee update and vote on the future of the Derby City Sport Forum
- Secretary’s Report
- Treasurer Report
- Election of Committee
- Any other business
- Close of AGM
Please read below an update from the committee on the future of the forum:
The Derby City Sport Forum (DCSF) committee met during the Summer to discuss the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) and future of the forum. At this meeting the committee unanimously agreed to put forward a proposal to merge the forum with the Move More Derby Ambassador Network based on the following reasons:
- – To enhance the support and opportunities for sports clubs to connect with more organisations in the city
– Duplication between the DCSF and the Ambassador Network in terms of information sharing
– Crossover of support needs for organisations in both networks
- – A hope that this move will help create a strong network of diverse organisations which supports people in Derby to participate in sport and physical activity.
As part of this suggested merger the sports forum in its current format would be dissolved, with all member clubs and organisations signposted to become part of the Move More Derby Ambassador Network. Move More Derby Ambassadors are passionate people championing physical activity for all. They are people who live and work in our communities and want to support others to be active.

As part of the process for dissolving the sport forum, if this is the preferred option at the AGM, the committee is recommending that a small grants scheme be set up to utilise the remaining funds in the forum bank account, this would be open to current member organisations and clubs only (as of 1st October 2024).
The Derby City Sport Forum will be holding it’s AGM on Wednesday 13th November 2024, 6 – 7:30pm at Moorways Sports Village. A full agenda for the AGM for this will be shared and next steps for the forum will be one of the agenda items for discussion.
Please note that a vote to agree the principle of merging the sport forum with the Move More Ambassador Network will take place at the AGM and if agreed by the membership, the next steps and timelines would be shared following the AGM. If the result of the vote at the AGM is for the Sport Forum to continue in its current format, then there would need to be a committee of at least 3 people voted in to enable the forum to continue under the rules of the constitution.
The committee would encourage all members to attend the AGM and join the discussion about this proposal if possible.
