Derby sent 2 teams to the Midland Primaries Badminton Tournament recently held at the Badminton Centre at Babington, Leicester.
Teams were invited to these two 1 day events from across the Midlands and all the young players had a great experience. Derbyshire A team came 4th and the B team 8th after 2 full days of action playing singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
For many of our players, particularly those in the B team this was their very first competition experience, they all worked really hard, showed some great skills and also had loads of fun.
Some of our young players are currently in School Year 4 – so are showing great potential for the future
